Ukrainian House in Berline
The Ukraine House in Berlin provides space for more than 300 people in need of shelter. This project was founded in 2022 as a result of the war in Ukraine. Many employees of our Ukrainian subsidiaries and partners had to flee with their families. Therefore, on the initiative of C. Bechstein Pianoforte AG and Lysoform Dr. Hans Rosemann GmbH, the project ” Ukraine House” was established in Berlin as the first shelter in Germany for people who had to flee Ukraine.
The project was created to provide a home and support to people in the first weeks after their arrival in Germany. The staff of this project helps with bureaucratic matters, i.e. collecting and preparing the necessary documents for registration in Germany, translations, and German courses.
Ukraine House was established in a former retirement house and thus has a living space. Through joint efforts, this house was put in order and the necessary furniture was purchased. It has six floors with bedrooms, lounges, hallways, private bathrooms and kitchens. On the first floor there are also furnished rooms where the adults can work and the children can play.
Ukraine House will open its doors to the first refugees on April 25, 2022.
On this website, you can find all the information about the project and have the opportunity to help us furnish the rooms and make donations.
